Sound ExChange has a strong interest in piloting projects centered around music teaching and learning.

Since its inception, Sound ExChange has presented educational concerts to schools and community organizations across Rochester. Most recently, Sound ExChange launched a residency with ROCmusic for the 2014-2015 school year.

The organization’s previous semester-long residency at Helendale Road Primary School was featured in a workshop and paper presentation at the Research in Music Education conference in London (April 2015). Participants of the residency recently won Yale Distinguished Music Educator awards and were invited to the the 2015 Symposium on Music in Schools.
